We remove "floppy" disks from books due to potential virus problems, and our
users seem to accept that. We make CD-ROMS available separately, to be used
only on library computers due to the easy of copying an entire CD to a hard
drive and the potential intellectual property problems with that. For those CDs
that do not require extra payment for network access, we make them available to
staff on our network. We will print out and fax or mail information from the
CDs for our members. Our staff and members accept this very well.

We are an association library with over 350,000 members and about 650 - 700
staff all of whom may use the library.

I am interested in hearing from libraries that receive books with
diskettes in or with them, who choose to shelve the books and
diskettes apart.
What we would particularly would like to see are examples of the
descriptive labels libraries put in or on both the books and the
diskettes to direct users from one to the other.

Thank you in advance for your help,
