More frequent updates of print products can no longer be seen as "adding
value," since these products will still not be sufficiently current to
allow reserachers to forego online updating. It simply does not make
sense to add costs to update print products more frequently with the easy
availablility of online updating, and lawyers' professional
responsibility to be current. While I do not doubt that this move is good
for Lexis Law Publishing, it is not good for their customers, and we
should certainly let them know that.
