_Black Americans: A statistical sourcebook_ (1998 edition) provides that
information for 1995. The source it cites is the US DOE, _Digest of
Education Statistics, 1997_, p.305, table 275. In 1995, 2699 blacks and
32,126 whites earned law degrees out of 39,349 total law degrees (counting
all races).
