The University of Connecticut School of Law seeks to identify
qualified applicants for three librarian positions: one Associate Law
Librarian for Public Services and two reference librarians. Please see

Reference Librarian (2 positions) - Performs a variety of professional librarian duties relating to
reference and other public services including: providing direct
reference service to the School of Law students, faculty, staff, and
the public, participating in computer assisted legal research
instruction and legal bibliographic instruction. Evening and weekend
hours will be required on a regular basis. Qualificiations include:
M.L.S.; J.D. or significant law library experience; knowledge of
legal research tools and on-line search services including LEXIS,
WESTLAW, and www; ability to instruct individuals and groups;
effective communication and customer service skills; enthusiasm for
meaningful change and appreciation for collaborative working
environments. Salary to low 40s DOE.
Associate Law Librarian for Public Services: Under general direction
of the Law Librarian, has primary responsibility for all public
service functions in the law library; supervises reference,
circulation, interlibrary loan, and collection management;
participates in budget and policy development and oversight;
responsible for day to day operation of the law library; addresses
concerns of faculty, students, administrators, staff, and public
patrons; provides reference service. Qualifications include: M.L.S.
and J.D.; substantial academic law library experience (public
services), strong communication and public relations skills;
knowledge of LEXIS, WESTLAW, OCLC or RLIN and related systems.
Salary high 50s to low 60s DOE.
