Dear Colleagues:
Is anyone having trouble with Westlaw giving general protection fault
errors? We are having a series of reports from various users that this
error message occurs either at the print command, a Shep or Keycite
command or lately even when selecting a database in which to search.
Closing the error window causes Westlaw to crash. This also crashes
our email software. We have tried using Westlaw 6.3, 6.31, 7.1 and
7.11 all with similar results. Some Westlaw users report no problems.
We are also unable to use westlaw.com. We can obtain the results of a
first search but when we try to print them or initiate a second search
we keep getting the "enter your password" screen.
The extent of my technical expertise to describe our system is that we
are running Windows NT on a Novell network, we have Westlaw software
installed on the desktop of each user, The user selects the Westlaw
icon from the NAL, "Novell delivered applications" screen, and we have
a firewall with proxy server.
Any thoughts or shared experiences would be appreciated.
Thank you.
