Try http://WWW.WHITEPAGES.COM They give you the option of entering a phone number to get a name and address (if they are listed). Hope it helps. I have collection agencies.

Hello everyone. I'm trying to find out some information about a particular company and all that I have is their name and 800 number. What I need is to find an address and registered agent upon whom we can serve a complaint.
When we call the number and ask them for their location, they will not tell us. We think that they're not very much on the up&up (they're some type of collection agency that has been threatening our client), but nonetheless, we still need to serve them.
I've tried D&B, but it will not search on an 800 number. I've tried searching by name, but it is a somewhat common name and I get multiple listings in each state. I've also tried called 800-directory assistance, but they cannot search backwards by number.
Does anyone have any sleuthing skills they'd like to share?
