Thanks to everyone who advised me to use Rule 3.4 when citing
Matthew Bender-like treatises. I had read this rule, but somehow the point
that use of looseleaf page numbers is optional (as opposed to required)
didn't quite sink in. Trying to be consistent throughout the draft text of
a work-in-progress is an activity that can turn an otherwise rational person
into a frustrated lunatic! Thanks again.
