One of our students has heard about a paper delivered by Prof. Teruo Doi
at a conference last summer (Aug. 1998). The paper concerns trademark,
trade dress, and color. The conference was co-sponsored by the
International Law Section of the State Bar of California (but we don't
know the conference name or the co-sponsor(s)).
We have tried various searches and have been unable to pin down the
citation.
The student is contacting the State Bar of California to see whether
someone there can tell her more about the conference and whether the
proceedings were published. She is also trying to find out from her
contact what Prof. Doi's email address is so that she can contact him
directly.
Any leads on this elusive conference would be greatly appreciated.
