The LAW LIBRARY PUBLICATIONS AWARDS (LLP)
CELEBRATE YOUR SUCCESSES!
Elated! Great! These are the words last year's winners of the Law Library
Publications Award used to describe their feelings when told they had won
the Award. The Law Library Publications Award honors achievement in
creating in-house print or non-print library materials that are outstanding
in quality and significance. Rissa Peckar, of Cadwalader Wickersham & Taft,
received the Print Award for her library's 1997 Summer Associates Manual.
After hearing of the Award, she promptly notified her supervisor. The good
news quickly made its way up the management tree and soon a congratulatory
e-mail was sent throughout the firm.
The Non-Print Award was given to Cornell University for the Cornell Law
Library Web site. Claire Germaine is justifiably proud of being part of the
group that contributed to it and the LLP Award will be listed as one of the
Cornell University Library system awards, as well as being mentioned in the
Cornell Law Alumni magazine. What a wonderful morale boost!
Wouldn't you like to receive an award that you could use with your
management to demonstrate how effective and useful your in-house
publications are to your patrons? If so, please consider submitting your
publication for the Law Library Publications award. The application can be
found at http://www.aallnet.org/services/awards.asp or you may receive a
copy by contacting LLP subcommittee Chair Amy Eaton at (206) 626-6000 or
amy.eaton@stokeslaw.com. The deadline for nominations is February 1, 1999.
