post. I'm curious about how others feel about this...

I had not noticed the addition to the AALL website (but then, I don't
spend much time there), and I would also question making some of that
information public, if for no other reason than the fact that I can't
think of any reason to do so. I've never heard of any organization
publishing individual member IDs or any of the other info you mention,
and certainly not racial info on individual members. I could see
publishing a composite view of ethnicity in the organization, but not
specifics for particular members.
I guess I question making this information available as I would be
concerned about potential employers using this database to get
information they aren't allowed by law to ask about...
Have you had any other responses to your post? I'd be curious to know
what others are thinking?
