Well, rumors are one thing, but cold reality is another. I know that agents
mark up prices, that's how they survive. But.....!!!!!

We ordered a publication from Carswell, as agents for Sweet & Maxwell.
All would have been quiet, except we received invoices from both
Carswell and Sweet & Maxwell. Minor difference. The Sweet & Maxwell
invoice had a 50% discount on it. Turns out that Sweet had accidentally
sent us the invoice that should have been sent to Carswell. We now
know that Carswell marks up the prices charged to them by the
publishers, at least Sweet & Maxwell, by 100%. That is outrageous.

Just had to vent and please accept my apologies for taking up precious
time.
