My own horror story on publishers.
Shepards is trying to charge me a different amount than my contract price for
purchasing Texas Cases. I have one amount on my contract and they have
another price on their invoices to me. I have, of course, not paid their
invoice for the last two months while I tried to correct this problem. Today I
got another invoice, and to add insult to injury, they had charged me a "Late
Fee". (for not paying the invoice).
What can we do about them? Do we need a "Lemon Law" for Publishers? A "Three
strikes and you're out" Law?
Need I say that West and MB-Shepards would be in trouble in such laws existed
for publishers.
