To start 1999, I've been tasked to develop (on a "hurry up" basis) a
simple form that law firm associates would use to get their billing
partners to pre-approve LEXIS or WESTLAW research showing the
client billing number, the issue(s), and probable databases to be
searched (with estimated costs for the type of search or database).
Does anyone have (or know of) such a form that I could use as a "go
by" that they would be willing to share? Separately, they want attorneys
to print out the end-of-search summary information to attach to the
proposed form so there's some record of the research that was done. I
know we've been asking vendors to provide estimated cost data (e.g.
Dialog) for years, but I'm not aware that this is yet available. Any
comments or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks in advance...
