Manhattan's First Department Disciplinary Committee will ask the
Appellate Division to suspend 862 unregistered lawyers whose last names
begin with the letters P through Z, unless the attorneys register with
the Office of Court Administration within 20 days. Information about the
request, along with a list of the attorneys, has been posted on the New
York Law Journal's web site at:

This is the final stage in the Appellate Division's campaign against
unregistered lawyers. Over the past two years, the Appellate Division
has suspended 1,601 unregistered attorneys.
