REMINDER - AALL COMMITTEE VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
President-Elect Margie Axtmann again invites AALL members to volunteer for
committee service for 1999-2000. This is a great opportunity for members to
participate in the work of the Association and contribute to the profession.
We need members from all types of libraries and backgrounds to bring their
unique points of view to AALL through committee service.
A complete listing of AALL committees and their charges is available in the
AALL Directory & Handbook. The Executive Board recently approved a new
Publications Committee, which will begin its work in Jan. 1999. The
committee is charged with oversight and review of the publications process
and with the advancement of the Association's publications program. AALL
members interested in serving on that committee are encouraged to use the
volunteer form or to contact Margie Axtmann directly.
THE DEADLINE FOR VOLUNTEERING HAS BEEN EXTENDED TO FRIDAY, DECEMBER 4.
