RE: Cell Phones in the Library

Our County Law Library is probably the most laid-back library in the
State, but we absolutely, positively forbid cell phone use the library.
I continue to be amazed by attorneys who would not think about talking
loudly, etc. feel this is permissible if there is a cell phone involved.
It's rude, disturbing and makes you wonder if these folks "were raised
by wolves" (with apologies to the wolves!)

Rhea,

The Ross-Blakley Law Library at Arizona State University has a policy
whereby
cellular phone conversations are restricted to the lobby area or outside
the
building. We also require that beepers be set to vibrate mode.

Dear Law-Libbers:

Do any of you have a problem with patrons using their cell phones in the
library? We are starting to get complaints about this.

Do any of you have a policy about using cell phones in the library?
