I have been asked by several librarians to post the source of my
independent counsel list and it is as follows:

the 20 independent counsels are listed along with what they were
investigating at the end of an August 11, 1998 New York Times article
called "Former Special Counsels See Need To Alter Law That Created Them" by
Todd S. Purdum
