Thanks to the heads up provided by my fellow librarians, I knew what Lexis Law
was trying to slip by me. I have mailed back the invoice with CANCEL written
on it as well as a letter stating that I did not request it nor did I need it.
As for telemarketing, I tell them that I don't buy over the phone, my company
has just been purchased, and the acquisitions budget has been frozen. This
doesn't stop most of them, except for the few who have BEEN through a merger.
They just quietly say, "good luck" and hang up very softly.
