Hello,
Given all the brouhaha about Clinton on this listserv, I would like to
ask a question with a very law librarianship slant on the issue.
Specifically, if a patron approaches your reference desk asking you what
exactly an 'impeachable offense' is, what legal sources, primary,
secondary, or otherwise, would you suggest that they access in your
library?
I am asking this question because I am an MLIS student who is studying
the nature of legal authority, and I would like to write on how various
media and political players are framing their various impeachment
arguments for public consumption. More precicely, I would like to see
if the political bias of the player determines the legal sources (if
any) that they cite, and I think the best way to start off is by seeing
what a group of clearly neutral ( ;-) ) reference librarians such as
yourselves would view as the best way to explore the question.
I would be much appreciative if anybody would like to write a brief
paragraph or so (to my personal email box) on how you would initially
guide your patrons on this issue. Thanks...Raymond
