I echo some of the sentiments that Ms. Johnson expresses. I'm not sure impeachment is the right answer -- maybe Clinton should heed these words: (a friend sent them to me recently)

"Yes, the president should resign. He has lied to the American people,
time and time again, and betrayed their trust. Since he has admitted
guilt, there is no reason to put the American people through an
impeachment. He will serve absolutely no purpose in finishing out his
term, the only possible solution is for the president to save some
dignity and resign."

(Arkansas 12th Congressional District Hopeful William Jefferson Clinton,
1974, during the Nixon investigations.)

Please note that the person who spoke these words were none other than Mr. Clinton himself, at a much earlier time in his life.

And, as always, these comments are my own, and should NOT be construed as representative of my employer.

I am most embarrassed to be an American through all of this nonsense.
Why any American would want a President who has such little respect
for them is beyond me. The fact that he holds the same office that
Abraham Lincoln and Thomas Jefferson once held makes me sick.
Those were great men and great leaders...they were looked up to and
deserved the title "President of the United States of America."

As if participating in these extra-marital acts weren't bad enough, he
commits felony perjury lying about it UNDER OATH and by trying to
coerce others to lie as well. He must think the American public consists
of nothing but morons. (And apparently it does if you watch the polls.)
He is a disgrace to this country, and I would be laughing out loud at
Americans, if I were Austrailian or any other nationality.

I agree we should put this behind us and get on to other, more important
matters.... impeach him now, so that we can put this embarrassment
behind us and get on with our lives.

Dear American Law-Libbers and Americans in general,
I'll undoubtedly get flamed for this, but I simply couldn't care less. Have
any of you got the *FAINTEST* idea just how the rest of the world sees
your
current preoccupation with WJC's bj's, transcripts, videos etc ?? Over
here
you are increasingly looking infantile and appalling. Are Americans not
interested in really *important* issues ? The environment ? Poverty ?
Human
Rights ? Racial Discrimination etc. In Australia we have a most important
Federal Election coming up on Saturday 3 October - but wretched Bill and
Monica have forced the election coverage off the front pages of our
newspapers - to the total detriment of things that really matter. Could you
***PLEASE*** put Bill and Monica to bed.
Singly or conjointly. By the way - is there any truth in the rumour that
Andrew LLoyd Webber has teamed up with Paul McCartney and is just
completing the libretto and score for "The Starr Report - The Musical" -
with Whoopi Goldberg as Betty Currie, Linda Lovelace as Monica, and
Robert
Redford as Bill ???
