I am mystified by this kind of opinion. I don't think Bill Clinton is fit to
remain President because of the lying and the lack of judgement needed
to risk his presidency by giving in to his reckless (and immoral) appetites.
I do think that character matters; the Greeks had it right "fate is
character". Do we really live in a society where honesty and decent
behavior don't matter in the execution of the most important job? Is there
no connecton between how a person conducts their so-called private
life and their decison making process concerning public policy? This
President has a history of smearing his enemies and shading the truth
(and outright perjury) to a degree unprecidented in American politics, all
of which mark a sad day for this country. Are we really at the point
where we don't care if our President is a criminal, as long as he
supports our narrow special interests?
