I've tried IndexMaster and found it both excellent and frustrating.
Excellent, because of the great resources included, and the detail you
can get by searching the tables of contents. Frustrating, because as a
small private law firm in a city with no law school, how do I access all
those wonderful books? Of course there is interlibrary loan, but that
takes time and most of my attorneys want their information NOW. And
we don't have the budget to buy all the books; we get enough
suggestions for purchases through other means (book reviews, etc.).
For the time being I'll stick with periodical/news databases...
