Yes, yes! I agree with you and always make it a habit to read the
foreign wire services and newspapers, especially when the US ones seem to
fixate on the same angle same story again and again. The extreme case for
me was during the Gulf War and I was in England for the duration. When I
returned to the US, I realized very quickly that my Gulf War wasn't the
same one the folks in the US experienced, though some of the stories I
read in UK papers during the war eventually made it into the US press in
later years.
