I am posting the following message for Roy M. Mersky, who is not a member of
law-lib:
It is a pleasure to announce a number of new staff are coming to
the Jamail Center for Legal Research, Tarlton Law Library. Tobe Liebert, the
new Director of Public Services, will begin his new duties on September 14.
Tobe comes to us from the University of Southern California School of Law.
He received a J.D. from the University of Kentucky and an M.L.S. from
Indiana University and practiced law in Louisville, Ky. for several years
before beginning his career as a law librarian.
June Liebert also will begin on September 14. June has been
Electronic Resources Librarian at U.C.L.A. School of Law for the past
several years. June's J.D. and M.L.S. are from Indiana University. June will
be responsible for helping us incorporate electronic resources into the
Library's collection and will oversee the Library's Web page. Prior to
becoming a law librarian, June was a systems analyst in Cleveland, Ohio.
Beth Youngdale took over as Head of Reference on August 31. Beth
received her B.A., J.D. and M.L.I.S. from the University of Texas. Beth was
most recently at Baylor University School of Law, but has also worked at the
Legislative Reference Library and at Baker & Botts.
Kumar Percy, who is now at Boston University School of Law, will be
joining the Library staff later in the year. Kumar received a J.D. with
honors from Tulane in 1989 and an M.L.I.S. from San Jose State University in
1995. At BU, Kumar was a research and writing instructor as well as a
reference librarian. He also has worked as a librarian at Golden Gate
University Law Library, UC Hastings Law Library, and San Francisco Law
Library and he practiced law for four years in California. Kumar will be a
Reference/Electronic Resources Librarian.
