POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT
ASSOCIATE LAW LIBRARY DIRECTOR
Gonzaga University, School of Law Library and Computing Center (LLCC),
is seeking an Associate Director who will assist the Law Librarian in
the daily administration, coordination, planning, and development of the
LLCC. In addition, the Associate Director may directly supervise one or
more of the LLCC units depending on experience or interest and is in
charge of the LLCC in the absence of the Director. The Associate
Director holds faculty rank and participates fully in Law School and
University faculty activities.
Qualifications:
Applicants must hold J.D. and Master of Library Science (M.L.S.) degrees
from accredited schools. Minimum three years of professional experience
in academic law libraries with a history of increasing responsibilities.
Strong supervisory and managerial skills, excellent communication and
interpersonal skills, and a solid sense of teamwork and service.
Responsibilities:
Assist the Law Librarian in annual and long-range planning for
facilities, personnel, and services. Coordinate the daily functions of
the library. May directly supervise one or more units of the library
depending on experience or interest. Assume other responsibilities as
assigned by the Law Librarian. A full job description is available upon

Rank:
This is a 12-month, tenure track faculty position at the level of
Assistant or Associate Professor. Faculty members are expected to meet
standards for promotion and tenure, as outlined in the Faculty Handbook
and as supplemented by pertinent University statutes, for library
professionals.
Starting Date and Salary:
