During the design process of the front lobby area, we have run into some
problems in our attempt to integrate a receptionist/guard station with the
book security system (i.e. 3M or Guardian or equivalent). We would like
to have the receptionist sit at a desk between the two gates of the
security system. However, we are running into the problem of the
potential that the security system and network computer systems
(necessary
at the reception desk) will interfere with one another if not located more
than eight feet apart. We don't have this much room.
Has anyone used these security systems in a configuration similar to the
one above? Or in another configuration that has the systems less than
eight feet apart? If so, would you be willing to chat with me some
time early in the the week of Sept. 14 about whether the installation is
successful or not? If you are, please let me know a number where I can
reach you.
