Shaw Pittman Potts & Trowbridge, a law firm with over 200 attorneys and
offices in New York, Virginia , and London, has an opening for a full
time Reference Librarian in the Washington, D.C. office.
The Reference Librarian's responsibilities include providing quick
reference and in-depth legal and non-legal research; updating the Library's
CLE database on Lotus Notes; and participation in training programs for
summer associates, new attorneys and legal assistants
The ideal applicant will have significant reference experience in a law
library; proficiency in searching legal and non-legal databases, CD-ROM,
traditional print resources, and the Internet. This position requires
good interpersonal skills and a strong commitment to teamwork and customer
service. MLS or MLS candidate with 3 or more years of law library
experience preferred.
