Cross-posted to several legal education, information & technology lists.
Apologies for duplication.
Members of this list may be interested in the release of the 1998 edition
of Michael Geist Web Lecture Series hosted at the LEXIS Legal Education Web
site. Part research tool, part casebook, and part tutorial, each Web
Lecture guides users through 25-40 sites relevant to law students and the
legal community.
Developed as a means of integrating the Web with legal education, the Web
Lectures allow users to augment their exploration of the Web with important
commentary and context. The Web Lecture uses a "framed" presentation in
which there is commentary in the top frame and the relevant Web site in the
related bottom frame. The Web Lectures link to a wide variety of
law-related Web sites. Included are primary source materials such as case
law and statutes, secondary source materials such as law articles and
analysis, multimedia presentations including audio and graphics, real world
application examples of legal doctrine, tutorials, and much more.
TOPICS
The Web Lecture Series has been greatly expanded for 1998. In addition to
revised and updated versions of the 1997 topics, nine new topics have been
added. The series now covers the following topics:

DESIGN IMPROVEMENTS
In response to users' suggestions, the Web Lecture Series has also
undergone some significant design improvements. New design features
include:
1. A third vertical frame that allows users to easily navigate between
topics.
2. A complete index for each topic so that users can quickly jump to
any page within a lecture.
3. Inclusion of the linked-to site's URL in the top frame.
