I agree with the auto responders. If you are going on vacation or to a conference, make sure to postpone your listservs or unsubscribe from them. Do this for all of the listservs you are on. We don't like getting our mailboxes filled with messages saying that "John is on vacation. If it is an emergency, call Jill." I believe that this is the ultimate in discourteous behavior on email. Just taking five minutes to postpone your mail from the list will help keep mailboxes from overflowing.
