Program Proposers -
I want to thank all of you who submitted workshop and program
proposals. AALL staff received 168 program proposals and 17
workshop proposals. The proposals have been copied and will be
distributed to committee members today. Committee members
will evaluate the proposals and will return their ratings and
comments to AALL by Sept. 1. The Committee meets in Chicago
on Sept. 11-13, 1998 to review and discuss the proposals and to
select the programs for the 1999 Annual Meeting.
We will notify all proposers (both successful and unsuccessful) no
later than October 1 regarding the status of their proposals.
Shortly after that date, coordinators of accepted programs will be
mailed a packet of information with upcoming deadlines.
Don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions. Let me
thank you again for your help in making the 1999 Annual Meeting a
successful one. I look forward to seeing your proposals.
