We are trying to gather some information on compact shelving. I am
looking for some opinions, warnings and other details about this type of
shelving. I have searched the archives and the only 2 postings I found
were specific to academic libraries. The responses to those were not
posted. What we are interested in is overall opinions
- Did you like it? How have your users responded?
- What is your feeling about compact vs. fixed shelving?
- What type of items have you used compact shelving for?
- Are there brand names you would recommend or warn against?
- Electronic vs. manual systems
Really any information you could share would be greatly appreciated.
