I am forwarding a message to law-lib from our Associate Director for
Information Systems and Special Projects, Jean Willis. She has posted
it to a couple of other lists, so sorry for any duplication. Please
respond to Jean. Thanks. Charles Dyer, San Diego County Public Law
Library.

We are currently investigating the possibility of utilizing a Citrix
"thin client" delivery system for our CD-ROMs across our WAN to our
branches. We are more interested in information about utilizing the new
Citrix Metaframe product but are also interested in whether anyone has
tried to deliver CD-ROMs across a WAN with WinFrame.

Success and horror stories are appreciated. I have heard that some
CD-ROM products just don't work well with Citrix solutions for WAN
delivery, but I cannot confirm what may or may not work. We would be
most interested in issues/successes/problems with Shepard's, M-B
Authority and LegalTrac, in particular, but info on any other vendor's
products is useful.

Thanks in advance for info.
