Someone reminded me today that I had not followed up on this
issue...getting back into the swing of things after such a successful
conference takes more time than I remembered!
Many of you already told me you were planning on visiting the Exhibit Hall
and talking with vendor representatives about issues and problems you were
having with publications or subscriptions. I know I saw many of you deep in
conversation, supporting documents in hand to make your point. I was glad
to see so many people actively engaged and not being passive, listening to
new product information.
So...you must share your success stories. Did you make contact with a
vice-president or manager who took your questions to the right internal
contact and make your headache go away? Can you share any of the solutions
in case others had the same problem and didn't attend the annual meeting?
I did meet Bruce Thompson from Shepards and after my return a very helpful
tech support person came to my office and standardized all the Shepards
installations and fixed it so the file extensions would show. I took
copious notes and have every reason to believe my September update will go
smoothly.
