Hi all!
I've put a link to the Amazon.com page on _Accidental Tourist on the New
Frontier: An Introductory Guide to Global Legal Research _ (Jeanne Rehberg
& Radu Popa eds., Littleton, CO: Fred B. Rothman & Co., 1998)(ISBN
0837710758) on my "Research Guides" page at:
http://www.lib.uchicago.edu/~llou/forintlaw.html#guides
(Rothman does not yet have a web page). According to the flyer I got
(and I'm eagerly awaiting the book! :-)), _Accitental Tourist_ is a
"basic guide to foreign, comparative, and international law research for
the non-specialist". It covers how to find foreign law, treaties, UN
documents, European Union legal materials, and how to research
transnational business law, international taxation, international
environmental law, and international human rights. It also has chapters
providing background information about the foreign, comparative, and
international law fields and their classification. So looks like it will
be a useful, handy reference tool to have.
My "Research Guides" page is an attempt to link to some resources I find
useful and I thought others might too. Some links I have included
recently include information about the following research guides:
Harvard Law School Library's Foreign and International Law Research Guides
(EU, ICJ/PCIJ, WTO/GATT, NAFTA, UN, Treaty Law, Islamic Law, French Law):

_Guide to International Legal Research_ (3d ed., George Washington Journal
of International Law and Economics; Charlottesville, VA: LEXIS Law
Publishing, 1998)(ISBN 0-327-00235-2)(includes tips/strategies for
researching foreign and international law, URLs for Internet sites on
foreign and international law, lists of databases/files on WESTLAW and
LEXIS, annotated lists of books, etc). 784p.

"The Guiding Principles of the 21st Century: The 50 Anniversary of the
Universal Declaration of Human Rights" (Marci Hoffman, University of
Minnesota Law Library, for the American Association of Law Libraries
Annual Meeting, Anaheim, CA, July 12, 1998; includes links to key human
rights research resources)
