The Southern District Bankruptcy Court in Manhattan has revised its
rules to conform with recent national and district court initiatives,
streamline unwieldy procedures, and tighten oversight over
court-appointed auctioneers following criminal charges against two of
them.

The New York Law Journal has posted a story about the changes and all of
the court’s rules on its web site. The rules are cross-referenced with
hypertext links, allowing users to jump directly to the section of the
rules being referenced. There are also links within the Bankruptcy Court
rules to the Joint Rules of the Southern and Eastern Districts of New
York, on which many of the bankruptcy rules are modeled.
