The Circuit Librarian is soliciting applications for a Satellite
Librarian vacancy. The Satellite librarian will be responsible for
managing and maintaining a satellite library of the library system of
the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. The
satellite library is located in Charleston, West Virginia.
The position requires: a well-developed knowledge of legal
materials;ability to perform and assist in conducting searches of
online systems such as WESTLAW; skills required to work with Judges
and their staffs; knowledge to prepare and submit annual budgets; and
the ability to work with computers and automation.
The starting salary for this position ranges from CL 27 Step 1
($29,986) to CL 27 Step 61 ($48,789) depending on qualifications and
experience. To qualify for this position, the applicant must have an
advanced degree in Library Science, must have at least five years of
experience working in a law library.
