CCH IRM/CCH responded

Thanks to CCH who quickly responded to the issue of what is happening about
this service. They posted a lengthy explanation to the list yesterday. I am
relieved to know that they are monitoring the IRS and I will anticipate the
revised pamphlets, re-issued contents and replacement binders. However, I
still have difficulty reconciling that the 1-1.5 years without any updates
costs the same as when the set was regularly updated. Surely simply
monitoring (which would go an anyway) can not be similarly compared to the
additional editorial work, printing and mailing required by substantive
changes. Obviously, CCH is not going to present subscribers with refund
checks or credit. Perhaps each subscriber needs to request a rebate for the
period of inactivity. Thanks to all who shared similar concerns about this
matter. See you in Anaheim. Regards, Martha
