CCH IRM-Money For 'Nuthin

If you subscribe to the CCH Internal Revenue Manual- Audit & Administration
titles, perhaps you have been wondering as many of us have, why we paid to
renew these titles when neither has been updated for more than a year. I
posed the question to my local sales rep. who in turn, asked the sales
manager, who in turn, got the following information from CCH/HQ in Chicago:
the plan is to reissue the set with new contents and binders - without any
new information. CCH has staff monitoring the IRS for future changes to
include in the reissued set and possible future updates. I ask: what have
we paid for? Why would we want to to renew it? My opinion is that CCH
should refund subscribers since we have gotten no substance for our dollars
and we can probably make more judicious uses of funds. If this bothers you
and you will be attending AALL, why not stop by the CCH booth and make your
dis-satisfaction known? If you won't be in Anaheim, please complain locally
and loudly.
Regards, Martha
