Last year I saved a message from Christopher Noe on how to psotpone and resume getting mail from the list. Here is the message that he posed last year. I have done this recently when I went to SLA, so I know that the procedures are still the same.

Colleagues:
Since many of you will be attending the AALL annual meeting, this seems
like a good time to post the commands for suspending and resuming mail
from this list. Be sure you suspend or postpone mail from lists you
subscribe to if you will be using an autoresponse message while you are
gone.
All of these commands must be sent to:
listproc@ucdavis.edu
To suspend mail from this list:
set law-lib mail postpone.
To receive messages in digest mode:
set law-lib mail digest.
To resume receiving mail from this list:
set law-lib mail ack.
See you in Baltimore. . .

I should be most obliged if someone could advise me the procedure for
suspending receipt of e-mail from this List - as I am departing for 6 weeks
overseas on 02 July 1998. I'd prefer not to unsubscribe, unless there is no
other option.
Many Thanks
