Hello everyone,
I'm getting good responses to my question regarding firm library square
footage, size, etc. I really appreciate the help from everyone.
One thing I probably should have asked, however, is the present size of
your firm's library. I'm getting responses about places cutting down on
size. That's helpful to a point, but I guess I really need to know what
you're starting with, or what the end result is, in terms of square
footage. Perhaps what I'm really after is the average square footage for
a law firm based on number of attorneys and quantity of collection (if
such a statistic exists). Calculating this figure based on collection size
alone is relatively easy ... I'm more interested in space needs based on
bodies. I'm quite sure the ABA specifies this for law school libraries. Is
there something comparable (obviously not mandatory) for law firms?
If you'd be willing to share this information, thanks very much!
