Atlanta-Donations Wanted for Kids Korner

Dear Atlanta Librarians:
July 1 will be the dedication of the Family Division of Superior Court.
Part of the opeartion of the new division will be a Family Law Information
Center at the Justice Center Tower to provide pro se folks with packets of
forms and legal info related to family law (emulating, on a much smaller
scale, the Self-Helf Center in Maricopa County). The Center will probably
be open for business July 2.
We would welcome donations of toys, picture books, etc. for our Kids
Korner. The idea is that while the parental units are getting information
on legitimation, divorce, change of custody, the kids can go occupy
themselves quietly & safely.
Needless to say, the budget doesn't run to toys, children's furniture,
etc. I've picked up some trucks, etc. at Second Chance and some folks are
giving us a few toys. But we would appreciate more and I would be glad to
come pick up any gifts. (We anticipate some toys may follow the kids home).
        Thanks a lot!

        Sandra

p.s. You're invited to visit the Center after the dedication -- we
*should* be open July 2, but July 6 definitely.
