Greetings from Denver -
I hope that you are ready to put away your winter-wear, get your
sunglasses out and join us at PLL events in Anaheim! As you
have noticed by the preliminary program, the order of
programming and PLL events will be different. This year, we will
begin programming on Sunday with PLL meetings throughout the
conference. Our PLL Sunday will actually be PLL Wednesday this
year.
New this year will also be two new groups:
PLL One-Person Law Library Group - Meeting on Wednesday,
July 15th at 8:30 a.m. (Mike Saint-Onge, Chair)
PLL Multilibrary Group - Meeting on Sunday, July 12th at 4:00 -
5:00 (Anne Ellis, Chair)
Our PLL Business Meeting on Wednesday, July 15th at 10:00 -
12:00 will include brunch goodies. It is generously sponsored by
Global Securities.
The PLL Luncheon will begin at 12:00 on Wednesday, July 15th.
The luncheon is generously underwritten this year by Lexis/Nexis.
The luncheon speaker will be Walt Crawford of the Research
Libraries Group, Mountain View, California. Check out his article
in the Jan/Feb issue of Online entitled "Paper Persists: Why
Physical Library Collections Still Matter."
PLL will be presenting many programs and workshops this year
geared toward the interests of the private law librarian in the areas
of technology, management and information resources. If you are
interested in proposing a program for the Washington, DC
meeting in 1999, be sure to attend the PLL Education Committee
meeting on Monday, July 13th at 7:00 - 8:15 a.m.
I anticipate a full and fulfilling meeting in Anaheim. I look forward
to seeing you all there.
