Re: LEXIS Law Publishing (long) (fwd)

My problem with Lexis Law Publishing is credits, not unpaid debits. I keep
seeing mysterious "unapplied credits", usually amounting to a few cents to a
few dollars, on statements. I've written and asked that they be applied to
the next thing going out, but that doesn't seem to work.

My big "yank my hair out" publisher right now is Matthew Bender. When I
resigned my annual agreement this spring, several titles I wanted dropped
continued and several I wanted continued were dropped. Plus, with their new
"let's just stick all charges as a lump sum" approach, I can't tell the
individual price of anything! I've also been receiving these annoying "please
tell us how to allocate check # 123456" which was, of course, sent with the
statement stub, account number & date on the check, etc., etc. Today I
received one such letter for an amount I had already sent documentation in for
last month.

Change of subject: how's the weather where everyone is? It is hot & muggy
here in Dallas!
