Colleagues,
(please excuse cross-posting)
You may have noticed that the Australian files on Lexis have been seriously
out of date for the past year or so.
After querying this last week via email, I spoke with Robert Grundy of
Lexis yesterday, and the problem, which was a technical one, has been
resolved. On checking this morning I have found the journals are up to the
Jan/Feb issue of 1998, the amending legislation includes reprints from
early 1998, and the "ausmax" caselaw contains some federal court judgments
handed down on June 1 1998, which indicates a pretty good update.
I thought it worthwhile to let you know of the prompt and effective
response given by Lexis, and to reassure those overseas colleagues who had
assumed Lexis was as up-to-date for Australia as it is for the US, that
this is much more the case today than it was a week ago.
Regards
Ruth
