Position: Public Services Law Librarian
Salary range: hiring range $27,000 - $32,500 ; full
range $26,635 - 39,700
Responsibilities: Responsible for developing and
maintaining sections of the Law Library Web site;
shares reference responsibilities; assists patrons
with print, microform and electronic information
products and computer software and hardware; CALR
and Internet training for faculty, staff and
students. Additional duties may include components
of circulation, supervision of computer labs,
coordination of Lexis and Westlaw, some maintenance
of computer equipment, supervision of student
workers, managing electronic subscriptions and
training library staff. Include some
evening/weekend hours.
Qualifications: ALA accredited Masters degree in
library or information science; ABA or AALS
accredited law degree; 3 years of related
experience. Strong legal research and computer
skills including knowledge and interest in web page
development and maintenance, electronic research,
the Internet, Windows 95, some familiarity with
hardware. Strong service orientation, communication
and interpersonal skills. Familiarity with Windows
NT and Innovative Interfaces is desirable.
