Re: Ron Huttner & unsubscribing

Fellow law-libbers:

I seem to recall that the first message that mentioned
having Mr. Huttner leave law-lib merely quoted his own
threat/offer/promise to unsubscribe. To my knowledge,
no one has advocated *forcing* Mr. Huttner to leave or,
for that matter, even censoring his posts. We all have
delete keys and are free to use them when necessary.

As for whether Mr. Huttner should unsubscribe, that is
his choice, and his choice alone. Personally, I don't
believe in making empty threats or promises; I find
such behavior needlessly melodramatic. The people who
publicly or privately ask him to go ahead and leave are
acting on their own conscience...let's be careful about
what we are reading into such posts and try not to turn
this into a heated debate based upon misunderstandings.

Now, can we get back to our regularly-scheduled program
of stupid reference requests and the inevitably boorish
thank-you's which follow? <that's a joke, folks>

Speaking of which, does anyone know where I can find ...

;)
