We found the following quote in Judicial Disqualification by Richard E.
Flamm:
"In computing the degree of relationship existing between two persons,
every generation in the direct course of relationship between the two
persons makes a degree. Thus, brothers, first coursins and grandparents
are all related in the second degree; great grandparents, second
cousins, and great aunts, uncles, or nephews are related in the third
degree." at page 228.
Does anyone know where it would be possible to find a chart indicating
these familial relationships?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks very much.
