In defense of the local arrangements committee (now the
Local Advisory Committee) for Anaheim, they probably had
almost nothing to do with the preliminary program for the
meeting. I base this statement on the amount of input the
Indianapolis Committee had 2 years ago.
My understanding is that almost all of the work concerning
the annual meeting is now being handled by headquarters and
their sub-contractors. That's why the name of the
committee has changed to Local Advisory Committee.
I agree with you that the preliminary program is not
perfect. My personal whine is the orange juice colored
headings on the side of the pages and for the programs.
With my aging eyes, the lighting in my office, and the
reflective value of the slick paper, I have a hard time
reading them.
As I said, my whine for the day.
