NEW ABA LISTSERVS (PUBLIC INTERNATIONAL LAW)

The Public International Law Division of the American Bar Association's
Section of International Law and Practice, chaired by Professor Robert
Lutz of Southwestern University School of Law, is pleased to inform the
international legal community that 19 new Listservs have been established
to facilitate the work of its numerous committees, and to serve as openly
available vehicles for research and exchanges of bibliographic information,
for the exchange and dissemination of views, and for the advancement of the
rule of law in each of the specific areas of interest.

Each of the following Listservs is "open" to all members of the
international legal community, without requirement that the list member
be a member of the ABA or of the Section of International Law and Practice.
Subscription commands should be sent to:

                      listserver@mail.abanet.org

in the following form:

        subscribe <name of Listserv> <your e-mail address>

Upon receipt of the subscription command, the listserver will reply
with a Welcome Message indicating the various other commands recognized
by it and, of course, how to post messages to the entire list. If
a problem is experienced in subscribing, kindly contact the undersigned.

The Public International Law Division encourages all those interested
to join the appropriate Listserv and, if an ABA/Section member, to
volunteer for committee work as well. The committees are currently
expanding their leadership roster and leadership positions are available.
Those interested in this possibility should contact Professor Lutz
at: rlutz@swlaw.edu.
