Hi everyone,
I am in a bind trying to assist an attorney in preparing an opening
brief for an appeal which was hastily inherited. This is a for a
Colorado case in which an ex parte hearing took place AFTER a hearing
was canceled. Apparently, the opposing attorney showed up at the
courthouse and somehow forced the judge to have a hearing in the absence
of the attorney who had scheduled and canceled the hearing.
If you have a brief, case law, or any other type of information
applicable to a situation like this which could help an argument of law
or fact against an ex parte proceeding, PLEASE, e-mail the information
or contact me so that we can make arrangements to get it from you.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
